Description

This course, Information Systems Auditor: Operations, Maintenance, and Service, is the fourth course in preparation for the CISA examination and represents 20% of the examination. First, you'll get to examine the specifics of how information systems support business needs, how information systems are managed and operated, and how information systems are secured and monitored. Next, you'll review the role of in IT auditor in testing IT systems and operations. Finally, you'll see the creation and testing of disaster recovery plans. When you're finished with this course, you'll be better prepared for this portion of the examination.

Hi everyone, my name is Kevin Henry a CISA and welcome to my course Information Systems Auditor – Operations and Maintenance. This is the fourth of five courses that will prepare you for ISACA’s CISA Examination I am a Security Evangelist at Team Cymru.

Auditing provides management with key insight into the efficiency and effectiveness of their business processes, and this course looks specifically at the audit of IT services operations and maintenance. You will benefit from learning the techniques and skills necessary to conduct an audit of the processes of IT operations and the ability of those systems to meet service delivery objectives.

Some of the major topics that we will cover include:

  • Service Level Agreements and third party relationship management
  • Change Control
  • Testing software and systems
  • Disaster Recovery Planning

By the end of this course you’ll be familiar with the content in The fourth domain of the CISA examination and be knowledgeable in the areas of IT audit necessary to be an effective IT auditor.

Before beginning the course you should be familiar with Pluralsight’s first three courses on the CISA: Information Systems Auditor examination – the process of IT Audit, Governance and Management and Systems Acquisition and Development.
