Firebase is a real-time NoSQL Backend as a Service. Owned and supported by Google, it supports anything from small, quick demos, to large enterprise-scale applications. This course focuses not just on how to use Firebase, but the more important topic of correctly modeling your data to make the most of the service. In this course, you will build a full application, starting from a simple relational data model and slowly migrating into a full NoSQL-optimized design, while learning all of the features of Firebase, and how to effectively leverage them.

Hey everybody, I'm Joe Eames, and welcome to my course, Firebase Fundamentals I am a developer and conference organizer, and I'm super excited to present this course to you. Firebase is a blazing-fast, real-time, NoSQL backend as a service. It has a simple API which lets you store and retrieve any data you want on the firebase servers, so you don't have to worry about it. in this course we're going to learn all of the major features of using firebase with a web front end, and more importantly, we'll see how to properly design your data to take advantage of all the juicy things that firebase has to offer. The major topics we're gonna cover are reading and writing data, Data Design, Querying data, and security. by the time we're through, you'll not only know how to use Firebase, and how to structure your data to work effectively. Before starting the course you should be familiar with javascript, although don't worry, you're not gonna have to be an expert I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Firebase with the Firebase Fundamentals course, at Pluralsight.
